Design
Still used as the main mode of sea transport around Zanzibar Island, the centuries-old Arab dhow sailing boat is the inspiration for the architecture of the Azanzi Beach Resort.
Thatched roofs of coconut palm leaves shaped like the sails of the Arab dhows white washed adobe walls reflecting the sun-bleached powder white beached, overlooked by the tall coconut palms. Natural timber is used for the framing and finishing of the resort which can accommodate 70 guests.
Azanzi Beach Resort - is made up as follows:
The Gateway Building
Stepping inside the entrance portico and foyer, you will immediately feel at ease with views over the Indian Ocean. The first feature to welcome you as you start your well-deserved pamper holiday is a calming water-feature. The building also offers the reception and a well stocked curio shop offering an abundant selection of African items and local crafts.
The upper floor plays host to eight magnificent sea-view guest suites, each with their own bathroom and private porch.
